Drei Freunde wollten mit ihrer Musik die Welt erobern. Mit ihrem Superhit „Take On Me“ schafften sie es 1985 tatsächlich. Noch heute spielt die Popband „a-ha“ aus Norwegen vor ausverkauften Arenen weltweit und hat mehr als 80 Millionen Tonträger verkauft. Sie haben Fans in jeder Altersgruppe. Aber der musikalische Erfolg zerstörte am Ende ihre Freundschaft. Oder vielleicht doch nicht?
Die drei Musiker, inzwischen Mitte fünfzig, sind wieder auf Tour. Sie sind in separaten Limousinen unterwegs, wohnen getrennt in Luxushotels und haben Backstage Einzelgarderoben. Nur auf der Bühne sind sie zusammen. Wir beobachten Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen und Pål Waaktaar-Savoy hautnah. Unsere Mission ist herauszufinden, warum die Freunde seit Kindertagen inzwischen derart kalt miteinander sind. Etwas ist faul zwischen ihnen, aber was?
Three friends wanted to conquer the world with their music. They actually achieved this with their super hit "Take On Me" in 1985. Even today, the pop band "a-ha" from Norway plays in front of sold-out arenas all over the world and has sold more than 80 million sound recordings. They have fans in all age groups. But in the end, their success in the world of music destroyed their friendship. Or maybe not?
The three musicians, now in their mid-fifties, are on tour again. They travel in separate limousines, live apart in luxury hotels and have their own individual wardrobes backstage. They are only together on stage. We take a close look at Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Pål Waaktaar-Savoy. Our mission is to find out why these friends since childhood days have become so cold with each other in the meantime. Something has gone wrong between them, but what can it be?
