Zoës Vater hat seinen Job bei der Bank hingeworfen, um Schauspieler zu werden. Während alle glauben, er sei verrückt geworden, nimmt nur Zoë den Traum ihres Vaters ernst und begleitet ihn zu seinen Castings, auch wenn das bedeutet, dass sie nicht zur Schule gehen kann. Ihre Mutter, die als Handelsvertreterin viel um die Welt reist, fragt sich, wie die Familie über die Runden kommen soll. Dank Zoës Unterstützung bekommt ihr Vater schließlich seine erste Rolle. Doch als Zoës Mutter herausfindet, dass der Vater eine riesige Wurst in einem Werbeclip spielen soll und Zoë die Schule geschwänzt hat, verlangt sie, dass dieser Unsinn ein Ende hat.
MEIN VATER, DIE WURST ist eine abenteuerliche Komödie über eine etwas sonderbare, aber durchaus liebenswürdige und ganz und gar außergewöhnliche Familie.
My Dad is a Sausage
Zoë’s father has given up his job in a bank in order to become an actor. While everybody thinks he has gone mad, Zoë takes her father’s dream seriously and accompanies him on the way to his castings, even if this means she can’t attend school. Her mother, who travels around the world as a sales representative, asks herself how the family will manage to make ends meet. Thanks to Zoë’s support, her father is finally offered his first role. But when Zoë’s mother finds out that the father is to play the part of a huge sausage in an advertising clip and that Zoë skipped school, she insists that this nonsense must come to an end.
“My Dad is a Sausage” is an adventurous comedy about a rather peculiar, but very kind and truly extraordinary family.
