DIE NORDSEE VON OBEN ist der erste deutsche Kinofilm, der die Nordsee und das Wattenmeer ausschließlich aus der Vogelperspektive zeigt. Die Reise führt entlang der deutschen Nordseeküste von Emden in Ostfriesland über das Weltnaturerbe Wattenmeer, die Elbe stromaufwärts bis Hamburg über die Halligen und Inseln und endet am nördlichsten Punkt Deutschlands, auf Sylt.

Die außergewöhnlichen Bilder sind mit der weltweit besten Helikopterkamera gefilmt worden. Die Naturdokumentation macht Lust auf die Nordsee und zeigt, wie einzigartig und schützenswert der Lebensraum Wattenmeer ist, den die UNESCO 2009 zum Weltnaturerbe gemacht hat. Wie das Land, so der Film!
 

The North Sea from above

Everything changes, depending on your perspective. Our homeland we think we know, is not the same when viewed from the air: colours reminiscent of the Caribbean, salt marshes on the Serengeti, each picture, a painting. “DIE NORDSEE VON OBEN” is the first German cinema film to portray the North Sea and the Wadden Sea exclusively from a bird’s eye view. Our journey begins along the German North Sea coast from Emden in East Fresia via the Wadden Sea World Natural Heritage, upstream along the Elbe to Hamburg over the Hallig Islands, and ends at the most northerly tip of Germany on the Island of Sylt.

The extraordinary pictures were filmed using the best helicopter camera in the world. The nature documentary evokes a longing for the North Sea and illustrates the uniqueness and vulnerability of the Wadden Sea, which was declared as a World Natural Heritage by UNESCO in 2009. Just as the land, so is the film!
