Wir reisen nach Seoul, New York und Hannover, lernen die drei Ausnahmetalente kennen und erzählen von ihren Träumen, Erwartungen und Enttäuschungen, den endlosen Stunden des Übens, dem jahrelangen Lernen, dem Verzicht und von der Hoffnung, das Publikum mit der Musik nur für einen Moment zu berühren. Denn was sie eint, ist nicht nur ihre außergewöhnliche Begabung, sondern auch die Einsicht, dass es etwas Wichtigeres gibt als den ersten Platz.
Three young people from three continents compete in the very same discipline - all set on winning the most endowed violin competition in the world. VIOLINISSIMO accompanies Solenne Païdassi, Itamar Zorman and Clara Jumi Kang on a search for the perfect sound. We travel to Seoul, New York and Hanover, get to know the three of them with their exceptional talents and tell about their dreams, hopes and dismays, their endless hours of practise, their many years of learning and abstinence, and their final hope of touching the emotions of their audience with their music, even if only for a single moment. For what unites them is not only their extraordinary talent, but also the awareness that there is something more important than coming first.
