In dem Trash-TV-Format PLAYER OF IBIZA messen sich normalerweise fünf vor Testosteron strotzende junge Männer, um am Ende ein Date mit der „Queen“ zu gewinnen. Doch Redakteur Arne hat 2024 für die zehnte Jubiläumsstaffel eine bessere Idee: Die Feminismus-Edition soll die Quoten rauf- und die Kosten runterbringen. Diesmal geht es nicht nach Ibiza, sondern nach Buchholz in Niedersachsen.

Regisseurin Amelie muss die sexistischen Kandidaten durch ein Feminismus-Bootcamp jagen − sonst gibt's keine Beförderung. Mit Kamerafrau Toni und Moderatorin Shirin dreht sie widerwillig die Sonderedition, lässt die Kandidaten aber im Unklaren über das neue Konzept. Wie in jeder Reality-Show gibt es Challenges, Freund- und Feindschaften zwischen den Kandidaten sowie Zoff hinter den Kulissen. Wie lange lassen sich die Jungs hinters Licht führen? Am Ende bahnt sich ein Desaster an, das auch den ständig gut gelaunten Produzenten Arne aus der Ruhe bringen könnte.

In the trash TV series PLAYER OF IBIZA, five young men bursting with testosterone are usually seen competing to win a date with the “Queen”. But editor Arne has a better idea for the tenth anniversary season in 2024: the Feminism Edition is intended to boost ratings and reduce costs. This time, the cast and crew are not going to Ibiza, but to Buchholz in Lower Saxony.

Director Amelie has to put the sexist candidates through a feminism boot camp − otherwise there will be no promotion. She reluctantly films the special series with camerawoman Toni and presenter Shirin, but leaves the candidates in the dark about the new concept. As in any reality show, the participants face challenges, form friendships and enmities, and have arguments behind the scenes. How long will the boys allow themselves to be duped? In the end, a disaster looms that could even dampen the mood of the ever-cheerful producer, Arne.
