Zwischen Bushaltestelle und Dorffest spielt sich das Leben von René ab. Ein Ziel hat er nicht. Und mit einem Bein steht er im Knast.

Statt Chancen hat René Pläne. Immer neue. Und für jeden Plan eine Hookline, die im Ohr bleibt: über Jobs, das Geldverdienen, Drogen, über Freundschaft und wozu Liebe gut ist. Sowieso weiß René immer, was richtig und was falsch ist. Das muss er auch, denn in dem Ort, in dem er lebt, ist er einer der Außenseiter. Und denen wird in Uetze - wie anderswo auch - nichts geschenkt.

Die Doku-Serie erzählt von denen, die auf dem Dorf zurückgelassen wurden, weil sie nicht für den Job oder die Ausbildungsstelle in die Stadt gezogen sind, vom Kampf um Anerkennung, weit weg vom Glamour der Großstadt.

Juvenile country - about growing up in a village

René's life takes place between the bus stop and the village festival. He has no aim in life. And he has one foot in jail.

Instead of opportunities, René has plans. Always new ones. And for each plan a hook line that sticks in his ear: about jobs, earning money, drugs, friendship and what love is good for. Anyway, René always knows what’s right and what’s wrong. He has to, because in the town where he lives he is one of the outsiders. And in Uetze − as elsewhere − nothing is given to them for free.

The documentary series tells of those left behind in the village because they failed to move to the city for a job or a training position, and their struggle for recognition, far away from the glamour of the big city.
