Wie gehen die Landwirte mit immer größeren qualitativen Anforderungen der VerbraucherInnen und ihrer GroßabnehmerInnen um? Wie sehr macht der Preisdruck ihnen zu schaffen, und wie sehen sie ihre Zukunft, damit ihre Familienunternehmen auch in der nächsten Generation noch profitabel sind?

Farming for North Germany

Most people know that broccoli, lettuce, potatoes, strawberries and apples grow in North German. But what in fact happens with the rape that continues to make the fields glow yellow in spring? Who knows how sugar beets are turned into sugar? And who would have thought that even exotic plants such as tobacco and nectarines prosper in North Germany?

How do farmers cope with increasingly high qualitative demands of their consumers and bulk purchasers? How much does the pressure to produce at lower prices worry them and how do they see their future to ensure that their family businesses continue to be profitable in the next generation?
