Ein experimenteller Animationsfilm, der mit den Mitteln der abstrakten Farbmalerei die Grenzen zwischen Abstraktion und Erkennbarkeit erforscht. Dafür werden ikonographische Bilder und Symbole des Kinos malerisch abstrahiert und mit Hilfe verschiedener Animationstechniken neu strukturiert.
Patch - the dramaturgy of observation
An experimental animation film which explores the dividing line between abstraction and discernability using methods of abstract colouring. For this purpose, iconographic pictures and cinematographic symbols are transformed into abstract paintings and newly-structured with the aid of different animation techniques.

Gerd Gockell *1960 in Darmstadt; studied at the Academy of Visual Arts in Brunswick; founded the anigrafFilm production company with Kirsten Winter in Hanover in 1990; various teaching appointments since 1992, including e.g. at the Academy of Visual Arts in Brunswick, Ngee Ann in Singapore, Academy of Fine Arts (KhK) in Kassel; lecturer in the study course on animation at Lucerne University since 2002
