Jan van Rooyen, Hendrick van der Zee, Adam Sorg, Marcel De Lange: allesamt Künstler aus Spielfilmen, deren Leben und Werk frei erfunden wurde, fiktionale Künstler. Diese 'Spielfilmkünstler' werden zum Gegenstand des Projektes FICTION ARTISTS, seien sie einer Hauptrolle entlehnt (z.B. George Sanders als Charles Strickland in ”Moon and Sixpence”) oder einer Nebenrolle (z.B. Raymund Burr als Harry Prebble in "The Blue Gardenia"). FICTION ARTISTS behandelt auf künstlerische Weise Darstellung, Funktionen und Attribute von Kunst und Künstlern in der Filmgeschichte. Das Filmmaterial wird in Collage-Form nach verschiedenen leitmotivischen Aspekten zu mehreren Kompilationen zusammengestellt

Jan van Rooyen, Hendrick van der Zee, Adam Sorg, Marcel De Lange: all artists in feature films whose lives and works have been freely invented - fiction artists. These ”feature film artists” form the subject-matter of the project FICTION ARTISTS, irrespective of whether they play a leading role (e.g. George Sanders as Charles Strickland in ”Moon and Sixpence”) or a supporting role (e.g. Raymund Burr as Harry Prebble in "The Blue Gardenia"). In an artistic manner, FICTION ARTISTS deals with the presentation, functions and attributes of art and artists in the history of filmmaking. The film material is pieced together in the form of a collage according to different thematic aspects to produce a range of compilations.
