Motor des Eishockey-Unternehmens “Scorpions” ist die Familie Haselbacher, ohne die der Aufstieg des Teams aus der Provinz zum Spitzenclub undenkbar wäre. A family mad about ice hockey

The home town of an extraordinary yet successful sport club is Mellendorf in the borough of Wedemark. For many years the ”Hannover-Scorpions” have been one of the 16 ice hockey teams in the first division of the German ice hockey league. The motor behind the ice hockey enterprise ”Scorpions” is the Haselbacher family, without whom the team’s rise from the province to a top club would be inconceivable. All of this is unique in the history of German sport: it’s the story about a family mad about icehockey and their concept of a somewhat different top sport club of today.
